Screen Right
This play is good against a blitz. It is important for the ends to sell their routes, and the center and right guard must get downfield.
Triple Option
This play works every time. It is hard for a defense to stop all three of the options in this play.
123 Roll at 6 Y Get Away
This is a good play against an aggressive run defense. The play action should draw the secondary up and allow the Y receiver to get open.
125 X Drag
This is a good play for 5 to 7 yards if the D-Backs are playing loose. The X receiver should get the D-Back on his hip and will be open across the middle.
22 Dive
This play works well if the defensive ends have outside contain. Use in short yardage situations if you have a tough fullback and a strong offensive line.
32 Slant
This misdirection play is effective against a set of aggressive linebackers, especially in a 3-3 alignment.
36 Throwback
This is a good play against an aggressive defense. If the HB has a good arm, this can be a devastating play.
Counter Option
This is a good play if the safeties are aggressive and bite on the fake to the full back. The disadvantage of this play is that the offensive-line must sustain their blocks for a bit longer than for a standard option play.
