The Scottsboro Wildcats (AL)www.scottsborowildcats.com
The Scottsboro Wildcats play in class 5A Alabama, and have a history dating all the way back to 1913.
This web site does a tremendous job telling the history of the Wildcats, with year-by-year results and a roster of all-time coaches. It also tells about the team's "Greatest Comebacks", "Great Rivalries" and has a comprehensive list of records, both team and individual.
The site also tells the story behind Trammell Stadium, named after former player Pat Trammell, who went on to lead the Alabama Crimson Tide to the 1961 National Championship, and some of the school's other alums.
You can even list to the team's fight song while surfing the site!
The site has a great amount of easy-to-read statistics from the past five years and does a decent job of providing short previews of the team's upcoming opponents. The one area where it lacks is stories or recaps on this season's games (maybe they will show up later?). There are statistics from this season's contests, but other than that, we do not know what has happened this season.
There is also a link to listen to live audiocasts of the team's games, but the link may only be active during games when I tried the link, it was dead.
Congratulations to our first Showcasers!
