Showcase Site of the Week

This week's winner: The Mullen (Denver, CO) Mustangs

The Mullen Mustangs completed a 9-1 regular season in 2002, losing in the second round of the Colorado 5A playoffs to eventual state champion Columbine. The home page does a nice job of featuring the number of the team's players, who earned post-season honors this year.

The "Player Stats" section includes personal bests for numerous players, though it is too bad that there aren't more stats available for many of the Mustangs. The "Team Stats" section includes news releases, which is a little misleading, but a full season recap can be found at the bottom of the home page.

In the "Coaches" section there is an announcement about the new coach at Mullen, Colorado high school legend Dave Logan. The Mustangs are hoping that Logan can lead the team to its first state championship since 1998.

The "Video Highlights" section is a great idea, though the flash video didn't always run smoothly. When it did, it added a lot to the site. Good job!

The "News" section includes links to newspaper articles about the Mustangs, and the "Hall of Fame" showcases former Mustangs playing at the next level.
